Success and its subjects

I have noticed that most of the studies done nowadays have as subject the top management, successful people. Success is defined as being at the top of the food chain. Not too many places there, which imply that most of us are destined to fail from the start.
Somebody said once success is to finish what you started. Now this is something I can relate to: success as a journey.
Most people, in their pursuit for the perfect work/life balance, do not find truth in the saying that people evolve in their career until they reach their level of incompetence.
For the importance that it has on individual values, success should be considered one of the essential elements of organizational behavior. People react according to their definition of success and their need of social recognition. These two aspects influence their relationship with their boss, peers and subordinates. Motivate them and also define their learning curve.

First of all, you first agreed with that someone who said that success is finishing what you started = > success is really not the journey, is the desired destination.
Second, you didn`t mention about other aspects also as important as obtaining the success, such as relations between the colleagues. Let`s say that all i want is success and during my “trip”… you might get fired. Why? Because i don`t care about you, or your abilities… . If, in my journey, you`ll get buried, what would you say?
I did not mention any of the aspects important in obtaining success. I believe that coo-petition is more important than competition. I did not mentioned the relation between the colleagues, but I tried to emphasize the importance of peers, bosses or subordinates (collectively known as colleagues) and the help you can give to them by motivation and support in going through their learning curve.
